PEDIGREE: Gallion is an imported Hanoverian stallion, by the Elite, Gadar, who won the stallion test in Marbach and has been approved in Hannover. Gadar is an Arabian stallion who not only produced dressage horses, but also very good showjumpers and eventers. Active stallions by Gazal VII are Bartok, Ali Baba, Gazal I, Gazal VII-I and Galan (sire of International showjumper, Garlic and the International dressage horse, Galatzo 003). Grafenberg is the sire of horses such as Ginger, Grandslam and the State mare, Gardenia, who in turn is the dam of the approved Hanoverian stallion, Rhodes Scholar (by Rohdiamant).
Anja produced besides, Grafenburg, the approved Hanoverian stallion, Guarantar (by Grossfurst) and the Bayern stallion, Peppino (by Paquirri). Federgeist xx is the sire of the sport horses, Fantastic 5, Finett and Flagrant.
PERFORMANCE: Gallion is a real gentleman, and a stallion with an exceptional trot and canter. He is a beautifully balanced stallion, with an expressive face, well-shaped neck, a good top-line, long croup, strong and dry legs, which he passes on to his progeny.
PROGENY: As can be seen by Gallion’s offspring, he has a remarkable ability to refine the really old fashioned type of mare, as he produces a tall and very modern looking sport horse. The youngsters have all inherited Gallion’s size, striking looks, very good trot and elastic canter that is so necessary for competing at top level, whether it be dressage, showjumping or eventing. Gallion has a number of very promising youngsters at the Seeis Stud Farm in Namibia, and as future sport horses, they will be worth their weight in gold.
